Move-in Checklist

Congratulations on moving into your new Asurent home! Please follow the below steps carefully:

Security Deposit & Rent

Your security deposit, rent, and move-in fees must be paid at the time of the lease signing. Please ensure all funds are ready in order to avoid complications with your move-in.

Move-in Date & Inspection

The move-in date is established at the time the lease is issued. Asurent will schedule a move-in inspection for said date, and provide you with the keys to your property accordingly.

Utilities

It is the TENANT’S responsibility to contact utility providers, and activate all necessary accounts for the rental property. Please be sure to do this at least three days before moving in, in order to avoid outages or call-out fees.

Move-Out Checklist

Saying farewell? If you're moving out of your Asurent property, please adhere to the following:

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Please provide Asurent Property Management with a written notice of your intent to vacate, and refer to your lease for any specific questions governing the length of your notice.

Rental Cleaning

Your property must be returned to "rent ready" condition; in other words, make the home ready for its next occupants. Remove all belongings from the

rental property, vacuum, sweep and mop floors, and replace burnt lightbulbs. Pay special attention to areas like the kitchen and bathrooms, where you'll need to sanitize toilets and countertops, as well as appliance surfaces.

Landscaping

If you are responsible for outdoor space, do not leave the property without returning said space to a “rent-ready” condition. If you fail to do so, the fees for hiring a landscaper will be taken from your security deposit.

Repairs

All damage that occurs during your occupancy should be addressed prior to vacating the property. Please patch all holes in walls, including screw and nail holes. Repaint walls as necessary, and make sure all lights are in good working order.

Security Deposit

Asurent strives to return your security deposit as quickly as possible. After your departure, our team will conduct a final inspection. If no damage is identified, and no repairs or cleaning is needed, your security deposit will be returned in-full.

Final Rental Payment

Please remember that your deposit is not a rent payment. You'll need to make your final month's rent payment as normal.
